How Does it work

The Connected Systems Notification Service email schedule runs on the inbuilt SharePoint Timer Service so therefore can be monitored and tracked like any other SharePoint job. An easy to use configuration screen is available from within Central Administration to modify the reminder schedule.

Add the notification field to the list to enable the due date. Select the Notify Me option from the Ribbon or from the Context menu to set a due date.

Reminders are configured by specifying an integer (-)days value to send notifications before or after the due date.

Due Date Configuration

Reminder notification status can be shown on the view item page or via the Context Menu Notify Me option. Three status indicators describe the notification sent status: Sent, Failed, or Partially sent if some recipients were successful.

Additional derived Due Date field can be used to filter items into different views to display groupings of related items due within the same period.
